The Board of Vision Ethiopia, an independent and nonpartisan network of Ethiopian academics and professionals, is in possession of your letter of June 5, 2020, addressed to the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson relating to the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).
Having read the letter with interest, we are obliged to respond because of the flagrantly outrageous misrepresentation of historical and socio-economic facts conveyed by the letter in the ongoing attempt by your Government to legitimize conflict, aggressive diplomacy and neocolonialism in the Horn of Africa.
